Kawo Peas (dry)/kg

Cow peas is one of the most resilient of all legumes in Uganda, that can grow in a range of weather conditions including arid ones. To dry them, allow the cowpeas to stay on the plants until they are partially dry. Eventually, the cowpeas are shelled and cowpea seeds are retained and pods and plants saved for composting.

When cooked, the peas are packed with alot of nutrients like; proteins, vitamins, calcium, carbohydrates,  and potassium.
